Hi, I searched everywhere, and follow a lot of tutorials, but i just couldn't access freenas after setting a private personal folder.

I followed this tutorial:
http://indiawebsearch.com/content/how-to-configure-cifs-on-freenas-8#comment-408

and this one:
http://protosd.blogspot.com/2011/12/general-permissions-sharing-folders.html

I'm using VMware workstation, and accesing with windows 7

My settings:

I really don't know what to do, always windows shows "Access Denied".

I sucessfully could logged in, before set permissions and users, but I want to have different users.
I can log in with freenas\root, without problem. The thing is that I can't log in with users freddie and brian :(

Thanks

--Guys, this is a pretty big issue and multiple users are experiencing it (including me!) - to the point where some of us have actually downgraded to freenas v7 because it was more sane.

--This is basically STOPPING us from using the software as designed -- any help here???

If it is as big of an issue as you say it is then you should look into paid support from iXsystems.

I work a lot of hours, have a very busy life. Ive spent a lot of time getting my FreeNAS server up and running. I am not well experienced with computers, it is a huge struggle for me to contend with FreeNAS when I have a problem, and I do not text quickly,

At points my FreeNAS server sits there not working properly and in frustration it doesn't get used, I give up, I'm sure I'm not the only one that doesn't want to spend 4hrs+ trying to get my server up and running on the weekend or late in the evening after work.
Referrals to 3rd party technical support is a solution to making FreeNAS more user friendly and available to people that are at a technical disadvantage.
A lot of people cannot afford to purchase a preassembled server from IX Systems or FreeNAS, we can be treated fairly if we're willing to pay for it.
I wonder how many people walk away from FreeNAS because they don't have the time to wait for answers or patience to type out there needs.
The list of 3rd party professional support can be provided on the FreeNAS home page under support with a disclaimer if needed.
