I'm new to FreeNAS and to ZFS so even after reading through tons of documentation please excuse if any of my questions or bug reports are stupid.
I'm currently testing 9.3 latest nightly to evaluate if FreeNAS and I found a few bugs. Please let me know if I shouldn't post bugs here and rather directly enter a bug in the bug tracking system.

When I try to add either a L2ARC or ZIL to an existing ZFS Volume via the GUI it doesn't work. I'm getting the following error message:
Only one row for the vitual device of type log is allowed.
Only one row for the vitual device of type cache is allowed.

Adding the device via commandline (zpool add cache/log) works w/o issues.

No, bugs need to be documented at bugs.freenas.org. This is a good place to discuss ones that are particularly bad (like this one).

This should definitely be fixed before 9.3 is released. ;)

After you put in the bug ticket please post the ticket number so everyone can track it. ;)

I logged bug #6445 a while ago but it has been set to "Cannot reproduce" (not sure why since it happens also with the latest Beta so it is still an issue).

Anyway, there was an update:
Status changed from Screened to Cannot reproduce
I'll need exact reproduction case.

So I posted one of many possible ways to re-produce this error but it looks like that since it is set to "Cannot reproduce" (which is defined as closed) I'm not sure if it is still watched or if I just wasted my time with describing the details.
How can I re-open this one? Or am I supposed to post the reproduction case into a new bug? Or just leave as is?

Well, "cannot reproduce" just means that whomever the bug was assigned to (in this case, William) simply couldn't get it to reproduce. It looks like Josh saw it too under a specific circumstance, however, so we're going to give it another go. If you ever feel like a bug has been closed unfairly or prematurely, just email bugs-admin@freenas.org (it's at the bottom of every bug page) and one of the admins will investigate. Due to the sheer volume of incoming bugs and what are often one-off problems, we don't always get things right on the first iteration of triage!
