Hi,

EDIT: It was fine until i upgraded to the latest FreeNAS - it was on u4 previously.

My system (specs below - sig #1) is giving an error:
Code:
getty repeating too quickly on port /dev/ttys0, sleeping 30 secs

I get booted into FreeNAS - the only access i have is IPMI - no idea whats going on.

While watching through IPMI it does look like someone is hitting the enter button (console screen keeps flipping).

I have no physical keyboard or mouse plugged in. Any suggestions?

When I power the box down, my other FreeNAS box (sig 2) gives a UPS error as box 1 is down. So the system seems to be working.

Thanks,
Rich

So rolling back to

FreeNAS-9.10.1-U4 (ec9a7d3)

Seems to have fixed the issue. Any ideas on how to delete the upgrade & try to upgrade again?

I just deleted the 9.10.2 BE, thats all. I wouldn't update yet if your system is a production environment, there seem to be some issues with updates recently.

For your specific case, I'd try rebooting the BMC. You can do so from the IPMI webGUI. Do it while the host is powered-down.

I also got this problem for my c236 wsi in a fresh install of 9.10.2
I did two things
1) disable one of the onboard lan at BIOS
2) add hw.usb.no_shutdown_wait = 1 into the tunables
After that, i never meet this message again.

Hi,

So after a power outage my system rebooted to the latest version I had installed (with the issues) - 9.10.2. I had to reboot & go into the boot environment and choose 9.10.1-U4 & am OK at this point.

Two questions:

1. How can I delete the 9.10.2 option
2. Is there a version past 9.10.2 which may not have the problem anymore (staying within the 9.10 train).

Thanks,
Rich
