Cannot disable nfs autostart

Hi,

I've got a weird problem using Truenas 12.0 U2.1. Whenever I reboot my machine, the nfs service starts automatically, even when the "Start Automatically" checkbox under "Services" is not checked. In "Sharing > NFS" I don't have any shares configured. Is this a bug or are there any hidden dependencies? Any suggestions how I can stop the nfs-service from running on reboot?

Thanks in advance

Just wanted to chime in since I have the same problem. For me, the problem appeared when I created an NFS share (an activated the service off course). I then removed the NFS share and disabled the service. It autostarts no matter what.

me too. I notice, if you set the NFS Service off and also auto start off, it still starts if there are nfs shares (even though auto start is off).

disabling smb stops the other nfsusers, etc which produce their own set of errors from occuring.
however, nfs still starts and notably directly after the network interfaces are enabled, but before the message "generating configuration for interface_sync checkpoint" is the error
"nfsd: can't register svc name" - a search of this brings "In plain language it means no Kerberos tickets are configured." - but i don't even have kerberos enabled.

This is happening for me as well. On TrueNAS-12.0-U3.1

I also am seeing this behavior. I recently changed my share configuration and removed all NFS shares and deselected auto start. Upon reboot following upgrade to 12.0-U6, NFS auto started. A second reboot following confirmation of deselecting the checkbox confirms that the NFS Service auto starts for me. Not sure if my previous NFS shares are contributing to this behavior or not. I searched for an open ticket and did not see one. I created this ticket: https://jira.ixsystems.com/browse/NAS-112790?filter=-2
