My first suggestion is to return your system to Amazon as it is not optimal device (for a number of reasons) for FreeNAS. After you return the system we can discuss options to build your FreeNAS solution.

If you still wish to proceed using the DL360G7 consider the following:

1. Boot the system in the uEFI with a formatted card in the SD slot, an internal USB key, an external USB key and a USB attached CDROM. Confirm in the uEFI the available devices.
2. Change the boot sequence to include the CDROM first and the SD card second.
3. Make sure any reference to "secure boot" is disabled in the uEFI
4. Burn a CD of the latest FreeNAS and insert it into the CDROM. Attempt to install FreeNAS on a the internal SD card or one of the USB keys.
5. If you are able to install and boot FreeNAS, obtain a new disk controller as the P410 will not support IT mode. Try an IBM M1015 in "IT Mode".
6. Disconnect the SAS connectors from the P410i card and install the M1015. Reconnect the SAS cables to the M1015.
7. Reboot FreeNAS and begin to configure the storage.

Alright I’ll try that later tonight but I’m not sure if I’m going to worry about installing freenas in that system as I’m working on building a new server with some raid controllers that should work fine with freenas.

Sounds like a plan; let us know if we can help with your other system.
