Hi,

a customer is downloading a large file (2GB) via FTP on Truenas, after few KBs have been downloaded, the trasnfer is halter and the /var/xferlog reports:

error uncorking socket fd 14: Connection reset by peer
notice: user luca: aborting transfer: Broken pipeproftpd

Running ProFTPD Version 1.3.6b on 12.2 P10

I searched on the forums but it seemed this issue should have been alredy fixed...it is not

This is a confusing and sorta weird sounding statement.

TrueNAS is effectively an appliance version of conventional software products, including ProFTPD. Parts such as ProFTPD and the host TCP stacks tend to be VERY mature, and I don't recall having heard about any "issues" with this. Perhaps you could identify what you're referring to.

error uncorking socket fd 14: Connection reset by peer

This is generally indicative that the TrueNAS IP stack has received a reset packet from the peer. This is not too likely to be a local problem, and is more likely something to do with the network.

Since you've not provided any information about your NAS, your network, your connection to the Internet, your customer's connection to the Internet, your customer's NAT gateway ("router"), or your customer's client PC, all of which are suspects, it's really difficult to give you any help here.
