I have two windows 10 VM's, set up and running great. I need to connect to them from outside the office and usually use two different ways. 1. Solarwinds RMM 2. Remote PC. I have installed both and can't get them to work. It's very strange. I have not had issues with any pc before, including other VM's on other architecture like Zen.

So is there something with Bhyve that is keeping me from being able to connect to them? Strange is the computers will register in Solarwinds, and I can push updates, etc.. They won't even register in RemotePC.

Does anyone have any suggestions? If I can't get this to work I will have to move the VM's to something else.

Thanks

Just a quick update. Still no resolution as to why I can't use any other remote control software on the two VM's hosted on Freenas. I do have one other computer, on the same network, that is windows 10 loaded with VNC, RemotePC and Solarwinds RMM. I can use all the products on that computer, even all at the same time.

SO there must be something with bhyve that is causing this issue.

Any suggestions are greatly welcomed.

Thanks

I am able to use it with Screens on a Mac.

Note the custom port number used for each VM.

Also note that authentication is set to off.

sretalla, have you tested installing any other remote software on the VM's? I use RemotePC a lot and I can't get it to work on them, I have not had any issues on other VM's like KVM.

It also works with RealVNC VNC viewer for me.

I'm not interested in buying RemotePC in order to test it.

And even one more test with Guacamole, works fine.

sretalla, I understand. I did read another thread about virtual machines stopping and the fix was switching to virtio. So I did that and the remote software started working fine. So the fix was swithing to virtio.
