Backup/Restore options on console menu

Just updated from 9.3-20150116 to 9.3-20150130. In addition to allegedly adding an update notification feature, I now see backup and restore options in the console menu, and a backup button in the web GUI (system -> advanced -> backup). I don't see a bug number for this in the changelog, so I guess it was with an update in between these two. Any documentation or information about this feature?

Look in the current documentation - it's there. It wasn't in my PDF I generated on 1/18/15.

In another thread today, I asked whether anyone had tried it yet.

Where in the current docs? When I go do doc.freenas.org (and reload the page just to be sure), there's no section heading for backup, and a search for "backup" produces several hits, but none seem to be talking about this feature.

If you open the HTML docs it mentions the feature in the What's New section (1.2).

In section 3 (Booting into FreeNAS) there's more information listed under items 11 & 12.

There might be more information, but I can't easily navigate the HTML file. I use a PDF version at home.
