My little TrueNAS SCALE server (TrueNAS-SCALE-22.02.2.1)
Intel Core i5-10400
G.Skill AEGIS DDR4-3200 C16 DC - 32GB
GIGABYTE B560M DS3H motherboard
WD Red SN700 SSD - 250GB
Toshiba N300 NAS HDWG460UZSVA
250 GB SSD as boot drive
Connected to a Mikrotik CRS328-24P-4S+ router with a DAC cable.
I bought a ASUS XG-C100F 10 Gb Adapter and installed it on the PCIe x16 slot. I tested its speed using iperf3, and got very curious results. Sending from a PC with a 2.5 Gbps adapter to the TrueNAS SCALE server iperf3 reports the expected 2.5 Gbps. Sending from the TrueNAS SCALE server to the PC iperf3 reports around 360 Mbps. Using "iperf3 -c <pc-address> -P 16" makes the aggregate transfer speed climb to 440 Mbps.
Any guesses on where the problem could be? Driver, network adapter, cable?
Thanks!
