Are nested datasets OK?

I think I followed the wizard, but I've since ended up with:

Sorry I don't quite grok what is a Volume / Dataset / zvol yet. But it would seem that my main share / dataset of "redsamba" is in another dataset of "red". Is that normal or is that poor practice?

/mnt/red/redsamba is the path.

If i decided that I wanted everything instead in /mnt/red, could move the files there from the terminal or is there a better way?

Yes it's normal. The first one is the pool and the second one the root dataset, it's created by FreeNAS.

It's not recommended to move the files directly in the pool and to delete it.

Also, in a more general way, nested datasets are perfectly valid, it's like a folder in a folder, no problem.
