Basically, my current position is that I have

FreeNAS 11.2r7 running perfectly stable with 3 jails and a VM (including Nextcloud) in an HP Box. Acts as backup recipient and then backs up to Backblaze. All built via the FN hardware spec list etc, sufficient drive capacity for some while - intention leave alone
pfSense firewall in an HP box - intention leave alone
2 HP Microservers running windows and mail server, and a "vortexbox" appliance (a combined Plex and Squeezebox LMS music server) respectively

Surplus to this I have a Fractal Design R5 (?) case and Seasonic PSU and a number of 1-3Tb disks (Mainly Reds) in the garage gathering dust and therefore distressing me:-(

Its a home setup, I don't like to waste stuff, money isn't a great issue, but I really appreciate value for money/want best bang for my bucks/something that will slip under the financial controllers radar.

So, my challenge is - Whats most cost effective way of utilising the Case/PSU and HD's I have., A second FN, (but why), a DAS System (but how), a something else?

Cheers (PS Location UK in case someone wants to point to local resources)

A second FN
Do you need more storage?

I have extra gear collecting dust also. It might be best to try and sell it on eBay to make a couple Euro (or is it Pounds?)... Last time I was in London, it was 1993 and the Euro didn't exist yet. I rode the HoverSpeed SeaCat over from France and I was carrying Marks, Francs and Pounds. I still have some of the coins.

Don't really need more storage (for a while yet methinks - not really a great collector of files like some seem to be!)

(Its pounds and always has been here, even more so as Brexit finally looms.. Marks and Francs may not be legal anymore. Seacat, was that the vomit comet?

I suspected someone sensible would say eBay, but Xmas holiday has made me restless for a project
