I have 4 HDD in RAIDZ2 pool. Now I need more space :)

If I understand correctly right now it is not possible to expand this pool to include one more HDD without destroying pool and creating it again which will cause loss of all data. Am I right?

What are my best options now? just adding drive and creating new pool without redundancy of raid is not aa option.

How likely is it that expansion capability will be added in future versions of FreeBSD(NAS)?

It's one of the most asked for features and they are working on a way to implement it.
Unfortunately, it is probably the another year or two away.
You can create an additional 4 drive vdev in the existing pool.

Thank you very much. I do not have space or money for 4 more HDDs, so year or two is not that bad :)

I'd say it's very likely it will come to FreeNAS, as iXSystems is one of the major sponsors of the project to add this capability to ZFS. But I'd be surprised if we see it there in less than two years.

Can you point me to any articles or discussions related to development of this feature or even committing to it?
