Add 6 smaller drives - can I?

So my current setup is RaidZ2 with six 5TB drives. My case can support 12 drives and my pool is at 80% used so I want to expand. I have six 2TB drives laying around that I want to put in. Am I able to somehow add that space to the existing pool or is there even a way I can use all the space between the 12 drives together?

Yes, it's entirely possible to add them drives as another vdev to extend your pool.

Simply connect your drives then go into the volume manager to create a new vdev and extend your pool. With 6 drives, you probably want to create a second RAIDZ2 vdev.
