I just finished building a new freenas 9.3 setup. I am running 6 4tb drives in a zfs raidz2 setup. I am sharing this out via CIFS. I have noticed that entire folders and files are disappearing after about a day.
The files are being copied from an OSX Yosemite machine. After about a day they just vanish. I learned this the hard way after deleting some images from my camera's flash card (thinking they were safe).
Any ideas on what I could do to try and figure out what is going on? Is there a log somewhere I could check. The system hasn't been complaining in the web gui or periodic emails.
