8.2.1.4. Extending a ZFS Volume

Is it really as easy as it's described in 8.2.1.4? I have another 4 x 4TB drives I'd like to add to my current ZFS volume. Totaling 8 x 4TB in RaidZ2.

I'll have the data backuped up incase something goes wrong, is there anything I'm missing?

Yes adding a new vdev to a pool is easy (at least in the new UI, I've not done it in the old UI).

One thig to note is that the [old] data will not be ballanced across all the drives

If I remove and add the data back to the volume would the data balance across all drives?

That would speed the process along, but as data is written to the pool, it will tend to balance itself out.
