4k physical emulating 512 byte sector, Ironwolf drives

How do I use 4k instead of "emulated 512 byte sectors" on my four drives for a ZFS volume?

It's the default for all ZFS pools you will create. freenas-boot is an exception to that rule.

No, only if you were using 4kn drives, Ironwolf and Ironwolf Pro are 512e.

4kn drives are 4k native, e.g., Seagate Enterprise NAS drives are usually available in both variants, with a different model number:

It's not, 99% or more of consumer drives on the market are 512e, and really as long as the partitions are 4k aligned, which they are on FreeNAS, you'd be hard-pressed to find any performance difference between a 4kn and a 512e disk.
