I have been getting kernel errors in my email about swapspace running out. Today, the machine actually hung completely. I can't find the source in the logs as to which process is hogging the memory because its run along for a couple months and swap never got to be more than 2g. The only thing...
I'm running 11.2, i7 4790k 32 gigs of ram 15TB of usable storage. Running a Plex, couch potato and deluge jail plus a 1GB vm running ubuntu.
. My system will randomly crash once every 30-48 hours with a bunch of these errors in the logs: "freenas swap_pager_getswapspace(32): failed"
I'm pretty...
TL;DR:
- I dun f*#@d up, lol
- Use an entire drive (ada0) as a swap memory space temporarily
- Mount said swap across reboots temporarily
- Import pool without panics/reboots.
- un-dedup data
- export
- reinstall freeNAS, and rebuild OS-side.
- I am open to ideas
- Thank you all in advance...
