I can not create a user with access to web administration as root. Already added to both whell and www group, doesn't help. Can't create a new user with web administration access. Or is it only the root user who can access the web?

Wow, this is something like a sphere for vmware?

If you mean vSphere, yes. TrueCommand is a management front-end for multiple FreeNAS/TrueNAS systems.

TrueCommand provides Role Based Access Control (RBAC). For each user you can define the systems that they can monitor or configure.

If a user does make configuration changes, an audit trail can be maintained. THere's no need to provide root password access.

Sorry to bother you again, but how can I add FreeNAS to my TrueCommand. what kind port used for this? And what matters is that my FreeNAs's are in the domain?

Sounds like a networking issue.. can you ping from TrueCommand host to FreeNAS? What version of FreeNAS?

Yes ping going. FreeNAS 11.2 U4.

the virtual machines are in the same broadcast domain (for now). I still cannot understand what is the matter. maybe some service needs to be started on FreeNAS(now i start only ssh and smb)? or truecomand also needs to be connected ldap...

According to the TrueCommand documentation:

TrueCommand™ uses SSL by default to connect to other systems. This means if an authentic certificate authority is not used on the system, TrueCommand™ cannot connect to view the system web interface.
Try uploading the FreeNAS's CA cert into TrueCommand.

Wow. I forgot that he operates with certificates... did not create any certificates, but as I understand it, i need to unload the default one and put it in truecomand?

Not the FreeNAS certificate, the CA certificate under System->CAs.

If it is a home setup, just disable the SSL enforcement. Works here ...
