Error message every minute.

I have just done a reinstall of Freenas 11.2 U3 using a 32 GB USB stick for the Freenas OS.

My system
Physical Memory:
15992 MiB

Model:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz

Every thing seems to be running ok but I am getting the following error message every minute:-
freenas syslog-ng[3638]: Error resolving hostname; host='root'
freenas syslog-ng[3638]: Initiating connection failed, reconnecting; time_reopen='60'

My default gateway is set to my modem ip and the nameserver is the same.

I can ping externally from the shell.

Help with what?

Error resolving hostname; host='root'

Your host name is not supposed to be root. change it.

Thanks for the quick reply Chris. This was a clean install and had only the default settings. The hostname showed as freenas, so I deleted that and reentered it. Then saved the settings and did a reboot. The error messages have now stopped.
