emby is like Plex. Plex does some things better, but so does emby. The main one is that I can connect directly to my server without going through any other services, as can any of my friends and family who have access.
I have to ask you something.
I just saw and had to ask
How did you install nextcloud and onlyoffice?

I tried for weeks and finally broke down and moved on to Collabora

I installed Nextcloud using one of the ownCloud guides and changed the appropriate parts for Nextcloud. Link is in my signature.

I have a ubuntu 16.4 VM using bhyve/iohyve that's running Onlyoffice Document Server, Crashplan and Portainer/Docker, which is really just used for playing around with stuff. I could be using Docker for Onlyoffice, but I'd already set it up on ubuntu.

And you know about the answers I asked you about emby on the first page

Sorry, missed them!

I have emby connected to an Open Subtitles account, and they always seem to work OK for me, but most of the stuff I watch is in my language. You might get a better answer to that in the emby forum, which is another area emby is much better than Plex.

And if you mean User accounts, yes, you can create however many you need. I have 2 local users and about 12 remote users and I can control what each has access to. My daughter for example only has access to U and PG movies and limited access to TV shows.

I've got more experience of using NGINX as a reverse proxy, but can't see why you couldn't use Apache.

Like Plex, you could just forward a port on your router to the emby jail : port, although I think if you have multiple external services it's probably better to have them coming in on port 80 or 443 to one point and redirecting them from there.

This is exactly what I do with collaboration and that is exactly what I will continue to do

I installed only for testing through the plugins and it's suddenly after ressat stops working do you know anything about it? Even with no I will fix it later on to jail myself as I will install it without Plugins

This is the best way to install emby on FreeNAS which creates an iocage jail running the latest version of emby.

The opposite? One downloads a .json file and the other runs it. Worked fine for me on FreeNAS 11.1-U4
Hey you have a guide on how to create the reverse proxy in emby? Does not really matter nginx or apache as long as it works.
Because it's not as easy as I thought

With Let's Encrypt and redirect to https?

I used the one in my signature for inspiration - https://forums.freenas.org/index.ph...-to-reverse-proxy-your-jails-w-certbot.49876/ - although mine is configured a little differently.

I'm using subdomains (e.g. nextcloud.domain.co.uk) rather than subdirectories (e.g. www.domain.co.uk/nextcloud) and have Letsencrypt certificates that auto-renew for each subdomain. I think Letsencrypt do wildcard certs now, but mine is working well so I haven't investigated.
I also have nginx.conf files for each service using sites-available/enabled as I find this easier to maintain, although it's probably more work to set everything up rather than having 1 big nginx.conf file.

That guide should at least get you heading in the right direction. Setting up NGINX as a reverse proxy with Letsencrypt renewals in a single jail was one of the best decisions I've made with my FreeNAS box. It makes running multiple services through port 80 and 443 simple, and once it's all set-up it just runs away in the background.

Good luck...

Yes, it will work perfectly in an iocage jail. You'll need a few different commands at the beginning to create the iocage jail, but after that everything else should work fine.

In the current state of flux between warden and iocage you sometimes need to borrow things from different guides to get things working, but there is a growing number of good threads out there.

I think the command I used to create the iocage jail was something like this, replacing the 3 items in <brackets>

Code:
iocage create --name '<JAIL_NAME>' -r 11.1-RELEASE ip4_addr='vnet0|<JAIL_IP>/24' defaultrouter='<IPV4_DEFAULT_GATEWAY>' vnet='on' allow_raw_sockets='1' boot='on'

Ok
Can you help me fix the problems I said above?:D:rolleyes:

Currently it in a regular jail

If you have problems getting the NGINX reverse proxy working, I would suggest posting in the thread of the guide you used or create a new post providing details of what the problem is.
