Do both the USB Drives (installation drive and OS) need to be >8GB, or just the OS drive? Also, which one of them becomes unusable afterwards?

So you're installing from a USB? After you install, the install drive where you put the iso no longer is used.

As far as size, 8GB should work fine for both of them. Any bigger than that doesn't matter.

OK, thanks. I tried a 2GB drive for the installation, since the ISO was only 500mb, but it doesn't seem to be working. I'll pick up an 8gb today and try that.
