So this is how my volumes look: http://i.imgur.com/1sQzpq5.jpg (2x 250GB drives)

I just want to do a test by replacing one of the drives. Is my mirror type redundant? Can I replace the 'failed' drive and have my data/FreeNAS intact?

mirror-0 is a mirror with two redundant drives. If the drives were in a RAID0 arrangement, it would say stripe.

So my mirror0 is RAID0 which is non-redundant?
It's a mirror, as long as you have one healthy drive and replace the failed drive, you'll be fine. However, it's always recommended to have a backup of your data.

It says this once I replaced the disk and added a new one: http://i.imgur.com/3zC1a1D.jpg

I previously formated that HDD I used for replacement and left it as unallocated space on Windows? Do I need to format it once more via Shell or something?

EDIT: Nevermind, wiped it, from the server GUI. Works now!
