About to add 11 6tb drives into my pool

I will expand the volume, so I know it adds the 11 drives as another vdev, and I know it can lose the whole pool if it fails. That is why both pools are raidZ3

So 11x4tb drives, 8 useable
and 11x6tb drives, 8 useable


Going to pull the trigger tonight. Anything I missed?

Did you burn-in your hard drives?

Yes, did smart tests, tmux and badblocks over last 4 days

Won't the 6TiB drives only have 4TiB capacity being attached to the pool with all 4TiB drives? Until the 4TiB drives are upgraded to 6TiB.

No, sir -- because the 4TiB and 6TiB drives are in separate vdevs.

My bad. That is good to hear. I'm about to add 6 drives to one of my pools then. It's only drives in a vdev that will be the capacity of the smallest drive.

NAS now has 72 TB. Used went from 74% to 29%
