Community,

I pulled a bonehead move a while ago and added the wrong size drives as a mirrored pair to one of my pools. I'd like to replace them.

The pool should contain 6 pairs of 300GB drives, but I added one pair of 146GB drives instead.

1) Is there any problem with following the manual's procedure for offlining those one at a time, and doing a proper replace/resilver?

2) Will the pool be expanded to use the full space of the replacement 300GB drives? There's posts about pools automatically growing if you have the property set (which I will need to investigate), but I'd like to double check this is the same situation (it is in my mind).

System specs are in the signature.

If you have a spare drive port, follow the directions for replacing drives to grow a pool.
