No space left on device

Hi All,
please be gentle my first post here.

i have been running freenas for 3weeks now fantastic, until this error today.

i cause the drive to become full transferring data etc, wasn't a where that once its full you cannot add or delete data.

i have read that the only fix is to backup the drive and start fresh.

ive search for quite sometime here and on google for a fix, im a newbie on unix but willing to learn.

can anyone shed some light on fixing this issue???

"No space left on device" ... well .. start storing your data on the right side of the disk

I'm pretty sure that just destroyed your Movies directory. Should free up plenty of space, though!

yep you're right forgot to add the single files i deleted to rectify the problem.

the actual code i used was echo > /mnt/TCC_3/4TB/Movies/arena.mp4 then i was able to delete via my share folders.:D
