How to add boot mirrors

I'd like to add a mirror to my boot device (a usb key). What is the correct way to do this? It's already difficult to add a mirror to an existing pool. I usually just create a new pool so that the partitions and gptid's are auto-created right, then detach it, and just force add the newly created gptid to my pool.

I doubt this would work for a boot device though...?

I know I could just export the config, create a new mirrored pool, and import the new config, but I'm sure there is a simpler way?

Oh... Didn't realize the UI allowed this :/ I didn't expect it did, given it does not allow it for standard pools.
