Hello All,

I'm looking at downsizing my homelab and I currently have a TrueNAS Mini X+ running Core and a dedicated desktop running Scale connected to a NetApp disk shelf. My question is can I upgrade the Mini X+ to Scale move my SAS card to it and connect the disk shelf to my Mini X+ saving myself running an extra machine that is not needed?

The Mini X+ can run SCALE and does have a single PCIe 3.0 x4 slot available - this could potentially work with your SAS card, if it will downgrade its link width to x4 from x8, but we haven't validated the cooling or power draw for the system with a SAS card in it.
