I've been running FreeNAS-8.3.1-RELEASE-x64 (r13452) on my home network for quite some time, and I have been putting off an upgrade because STABILITY is my primary concern. (I don't have time to rebuild my pools and reload 8 or 9 TB of data, and while I'm OK at the command line, I am not able to do more than very simple BSD troubleshooting.) I've been watching the 9.2 branch for some time, and just when I figure it's good... a pile of new bugs come out and a new release.

At this point am I better to go to 9.3 (with the new rolling releases I'm not quite sure how to read the status of open bugs on tracker... what's open on the current release, or even what the current release is... if there is a link/post I should read please point me in the right direction) or 9.2.1.9? I plan on leaving ZFS version alone for awhile so I can go back to 8.3.1 if necessary. If things are good in a month's time I'll likely upgrade the pools.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice.

I am also trying to find out. I would go with a new thumb drive. If you don't like it, plug the old thumb drive back in.
