FreeNAS: FreeNAS-11.3-U4.1
Plugins: Only plex
Drive: 1 x Striped 4TB Ironwolf (20% full, brand new)
Thanks for reading, this is no issue at all really just curious.
I thought I would put some time lapse photographs on my FreeNAS test machine, with the intention of using my JPG to MP4 conversion software. There are around 9000 photos and usually the software deals with them sequentially to ensure they're in the correct order when output'ing an MP4. For some reason when the source files are located on the FreeNAS machine, they are loaded into the S/W in a random ordered, 2474, 7363, 3458 etc., instead of 001, 002, 003 and so on.
I have to say I started using the data as soon as it had been copied over from an external SSD and it was around 90GB worth. I'll try again in case FN was doing something in the background.
When I do the process with files stored locally, it hasn't misbehaved like this, though it should be noted I've only used the S/W a dozen times, in addition it is free.
Thanks!
