So new to True Nas and Plex (4TB stored so far & growing). Plex works amazing in home (LAN). But it wont connect outside.

I have port forwarding. And the servers I host for Satisfactory and Valheim work flawlessly. But not Plex

Other post I have followed and tried. Reset DCHP. Restart the server. no go.

but when I look at the ports that Valheim is using I get the same "Closed

I cannot ping google 8.8.8.8 from the Jail shell either.

I am at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so in this picture you have the port 32414 as your plex port, however in the router you have port 32400 forwarded.. So this is a clear issue. You'll have to change one or the other so they match.

Not sure of valheim is, i do see it as odd that the plex software doesnt know what your IP is. You have something misconfigured, that is not dealing with the port. Show the output of ifconfig from a terminal from the host and from the jail.

Valheim is a video game I host on another machine. So I believe I am port forwarding correct as it and another game, Satisfactory, both work remotely.

How accurate is this site? Ports I use and friends use daily show closed. But still work...

I think I figured it out.

the jail had the default router as none. I stopped the jail, changed it to my router ip, saved, and restarted the jail. then in shell i was able to ping 8.8.8.8 and now it shows connected
