hi,

I have a TrueNAS 2U box running on my campus. All students and faculty have been sent home due to COVID19. The college is going to take advantage of this time to do some electrical work, so power will be cut for 2 days next week. It's simple enough to schedule a shutdown with cron before the power outage, but how do I schedule a startup afterwards?

If I was on campus I'd just walk down there and turn it on by hand, of course.

I'm looking at the LOM interface but don't see any way of scheduling a power-up event. I'm running FreeNAS-11.1-U7 and IPMI Firmware rev 03.39 in case that matters.

Apologies if I was too brusque earlier. If the TrueNAS chassis uses an AMI IPMI, then so long as you can login to the IPMI web interface, you can navigate to Remote Control->Console Redirection, and start the box from the Java Console.

thank you! Presumably the IPMI server starts up when the power comes back on, regardless of whether the hardware is powered on?

Yes, I believe that is the case.
