Hello Forum,
I've installed the plugin jail successfully and I can ping it from outside
Now I've install subversion by

pkg_add -r subversion

My aim is to run a subversion server on freenas to keep repos safe and I want to connect from local Windows Clients (Tortoise SVN). The repos should be backup outside the jail (svndump)

Q: Can I make a repo outside the fail and access it?
Q: At the moment I can access the svnserve from tortiose svn (Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'svn://192.168.0.253'. Can't connect to Host. The Remote Host doesn't acceppt a connection. Do I need to open the 3690 (svn) port in the jail or the freenas host?
Q: how can I move dump files from the jail to the host?

maybe I get more infos/hints from you

regards,

After reading the freenas doc and the subversion book carefully, i got my questions answered (stupid questions), now i got following message when I want to have write access to a repo.

tsvn.jpg

is there a special need to get write access out of the jail?

It seems that a reboot was necessary to get write access.
I've a subversion server running inside the jail without problems.
