Heads up! 21.02-RC.2 is pending for next Tuesday (12/21/2021). The currently nightly image is pretty much in-sync with what will be tagged as RC.2 next week. Users running the nightly images, please give it a whirl and of course let us know ASAP if there are any issues found along the way. FYI - be sure to keep your old boot-environments intact so you can roll back and update to the official RC.2 when it arrives. Good luck and happy testing!

Looking forward to testing new release. I had a bunch of core dumps with middlewared in last RC and tried to update to nightlies. It never worked.

I'm curious if there will be a way to upgrade between nightlies and standard releases in the future, or if this is too much of a pain in the arse for you guys due to needing migration scripts between releases.

Yea, the official process is still to roll back to a previous release before updating to the latest. Upgrading from nightly is difficult to support, since there's a typically a lot of churn of things landing in the repo at any given time.
