So to reconfirm I need a "HD Mini SAS to 4x SATA (Forward)" cable?

Would these work?

I've been looking SAS to SATA breakout cables for my supermicro X11SLL– CF-O and I realized that SFF-8643 cables are kind of difficult to come by here in Sweden.
Thankfully it seems that Swedish supplier Mullet
is a retailer for these cables from supermicro.

However someone warned me to make sure that the cables are able to connect directly to the drive not to a backplane, since my build does not include a backplane. What do you think? Am I on the right track?

It looks like right. You don't need the sideband, but i found no other without. And you need Power Supply Cable for your HDDs if you don't use a Backplane.

The issue with a 1M cable is its right at the limits, hence connecting directly.

I would recommend s 65/75cm cable over the 100cm of you can get away with it. Gives you a little leeway for things like backplanes etc.
