Postgresql server on FreeNAS?

I have recently discovered FreeNAS's existence and it looks fantastic for my needs. One thing I am not entirely sure about (without having spent a great deal of time on it) is whether you can install a DB server on FreeNAS?

Not having played with FN I am unsure if it acts like an BSD installation and allows you to install any package you want (via CLI), or if you would need to use a plugin.

You would need to install the Jail PBI and then you can add packages, however the jail doesn't have a display like X11, so you need to do everything from the command line.

Once we get to a point where I can rebuild my plugins for FreeNAS 9.1, I have a plugin that will add X11 capability if it is required.
