Pool degraded, disk removed status

Hi there..

I really want to know if i must shutdown the freenas machine when i want to replace a disk which is removed from the pool, and also not visible in Idrac of the Dell hardware.
Many comment said , yes shutdown, some say it is not necessary. Machine has lot's of data and it is production 24 hours a day, so very difficult to shutdown.

No reboot required if you have hot-plug capable harware.
