Jails media

Hi All,

What would be the best storage for the jails?
I have 3 different types of media at disposal.

1. 16gb USB stick
2. 60gb HDD
3. 256 gb SSD

Don't really feel like wasting SSD on jails.

Is there something preventing you from putting the jails on your main pool?

Not really, but based on my research its good practice to keep it on separate media plus I would like to do a spin down on main drives.

How will that affect my spindown? I only use my NAS for no more then 3-4 hours a day and would like to save as much energy as possible.

The extra wear and tear from spinning drives up and down, in my opinion, is not worth it.

Btw how do I move jail from one media to another?
