I'm an old grumpy sysadmin
Started looking into the *BSD world back in .... '98 or something and have been working with both FreeBSD and Linux (mostly Debian) since. Been working with ISPs and HSPs where focus have been on opensource and network.
Storagewise I've been working with homegrown systems, based on both FreeBSD and Linux, and also some NetApp filers, and also openfiler and open-e.
My latest storagesystems have been with FreeNAS - on a testserver in the office (no ECC and only 8GB RAM) and as a general purpuse storage for internal systems at work.
At home my storage tend to be Synology systems, but now it's time to build something more robust - aka. FreeNAS :D
