Hi,

I've got me in some trouble i guess. Think i've done something i didn't need to do.
The only thing i did was using permisisons on a custom jail and now it gives me this. There for i can't boot into freenas and SSH is not working either.
Anyone can help? I don't want to lose my pool/data.

You wont lose your pools, you have just screwed up the user permisions. can you remember what commands you ran?

I'm guessing the easiest way to recover will be to install a fresh version of FreeNAS (maybe to a spare USB drive to test) and then recover your config db from the system dataset and then rebuild the permissions of shares etc, but there may be other ways?

I just installed minidlna in a jail and there were some permission issues. I just chown some destination directory's because my files weren't showing up.
Looks like i'll have to add a new user and add them to a new group and set them like that.

But i'll reinstall and see what happens.

did you have a saved config for freenas? or do you know where the systen dataset was mounted to?
