FreeNAS boot disk failure and want to recover old data

My FreeNas Stick I'm currently using and it can't boot anymore. My two physical data pool HDDs are mirrored. Those two are considered to be good. So, how can I recover the data from the current old HDD’s data? I understand that it will be fine if I reinstall the current Boot Stick fresh and import the original pool again. However, I'm currently using FreeNAS and the new version is TrueNAS. In that case, I wonder if it is possible to import the old HDD again. Also, I didn't save the previous version config file.

Thanks

Yes, you can do that, the pool should import with no issues if it's healthy.

Just note that you're importing a pool, not a disk (that's another function for importing from non-ZFS disks).
