ESXi Freenas HW upgrade with Ryzen?

Hi Folks,

I would like to bring my power consumption lower. Currently I am running between 87w and 113w in "idle" with ESXi 6.7 Freenas VM, pfSense and plex. pfSense is eating up a lot, roughly 26w

so my point is, will a new ryzen like the Ryzen 5 3600 with 6x 3,6ghz lower the consumption, compared to my main system in signature?

i dont want to change it for hobby purpose, it must be an eco reason for it. means if i safe 10 watts and I spend like 500 probably it is not worth upgrading.
so does someone has a gut feeling?

second point is a good motherboard.
and I might have found one which has all the fancy stuff I think I want to have:

so my question to this:
is any experience out there?
with that above mentioned ryzen and this board, is pci passthrough possible? I am not so familiar with amds vt-d

i am aware that this is probably a not so common setup, so i would be happy to get some feedback.

yes it is IT mode flashed.

may I ask what the graph shall show me?
only thing I could see is the TDP.
as far as I know amd and intel are taking different methods to measure TDP, furthermore TDP is used to design a cooling solution. I doubt that this is a good to estimate power consumption.

Cooling needs are directly proportional to heat production, which is in turn directly related to the consumption of power.
