curl - metalink removal

I barely knew it as an option to the build of curl but for some reason re-noticed it moments ago. This lead me to try to discover what "metalink" meant or did, as I was considering enabling it. What I found out has decided it for me, as it was a largely unused feature and has potential for security issues, but mostly because it is going to be removed in the next version of curl. So, for everyone else who never knew or who may have knowingly or blindly included metalink, now would be a good time to look things over and work toward removing any further requirements of 'metalink' via curl. Bye bye metalink in curl

In 2012 I wrote a blog post titled curling the metalink, describing how we added support for metalink to curl. Today, we remove that support again. This is a very drastic move, and I feel obliged to explain it so here it goes! curl 7.78.0 will ship without metalink support. Metalink problems...
