Hi folks,

FreeNAS newbie here. Loving it so far - have been playing around in VirtualBox, and will install it on my new NAS hardware when it arrives this week.

I wonder if anyone else has had the same issue with the CLI in the webGUI as I have had when opening it on a tablet - namely that the software keyboard does not appear. I'm on an iPad. I assume that launching the CLI isn't sending a 'this is a text entry UI element' message back to the mobile browser in a way it can understand.

Thanks for any pointers!

NB: I attempted to search the forums to see if anyone was talking about this, but every search I submit just returns a blank page - I'm guessing that's a BB issue.

Most of the heavy hitters here, use SSH to connect to our servers, rather than using the CLI from the webGUI.

I haven't tried it from an iPad, but there are SSH apps for iOS, so I recommend you give it a try.

Thanks - I have that option, yes (I'm new to FreeNAS, but my background is in Unix) - I just thought it was a shame that the built-in option (which is right there in front of the user, and good enough for most CLI-based tasks) doesn't work consistently across browsers.

Also, sorry for the late reply - the forum has been down again between my email notification of your post and now.
