can't connect

hello everyone, thanks for helping me
I just downloaded freenas and I would like to connect to the user interface, I use "root" as username and "password" as password which is the password I chose during the installation.
But, I cannot log in "the username or password is incorrect".
If anyone knows why

Any chance you're using an azerty keyboard?

Connect a monitor and keyboard to you FreeNAS and "reset root password" from the console menu.
Have you used any special characters in your password?
Your keyboard during installation might have been set to US-keyboard-layout.
