Can't add hdds to expand pool

I am trying to expand my pool by adding two 3tb hdds. I go to storage,pools ,click on gear, go to add vdev, check the 2 hdds. I then try to add, it tells me they will be stripe, I then try to override. I then get this error(
port_problem FAILED
[EINVAL] pool_update.topology.data.2.type: You are not allowed to create a pool with different data vdev types (STRIPE and MIRROR).
I am running out of space in my plex pool, down to 84% used. What am I doing wrong . Please help!I have attached a screen shot

Well, the warning is pretty clear, but if you want to ignore it, you can check the Force box and it will go ahead.

Perhaps you can share with us what your pool currently looks like?

zpool status -v
