Browse by Host not IP address

I just upgraded to V8 and now I can't browse to my nas by hostname, before I could just type in \\nas and have my share come up now I have to go type in \\IP address for it to show up.

Under CIFS sharing the name is NAS and under Network the Hostname is NAS.

Any idea's?

Also are there any Optimum Performance settings that should be turned on/off?

hostname is usually defined in dns , which needs a nameserver somewhere. Leaking of netbios is no
reliable source .. A better way would be to edit /etc/hosts ( or \etc\hosts whichever your vendor preffers ..)
