Bittorrent Sync and file permissions

I have my Freenas all set up and working well. I have a particular user account I have set up for connecting through NFS and all permissions are working great. I like the way that jails are set up and they function great but I can't figure out how to get bittorrent sync to write files as a user instead of root. This is not that annoying to SSH in and do a sudo chown or chmod but it would make things more consistent for me if bittorrent sync ran in user land.
