Hi, i'm new in the NAS world and i'm looking for assembling one.
I need something low-consuming, affordable, silent and which support cryptography (on ZFS), so i need a CPU which has AES-NI. I'd like also a RAID 1 configuration.
Please consider that price in the EU are higher than in the US.

Here is the configuration i thought:
CASE: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fractal-Design-Node-304-Case/dp/B009PIEMUC It should be enough silence and has 6 slots. 80€
CPU http://ark.intel.com/products/77481/Intel-Core-i3-4130T-Processor-3M-Cache-2_90-GHz Support ECC+AES-Ni 130€
RAM: http://www.senetic.it/product/A2Z50AA?gclid=CMHcup6qsrsCFYJP3godYh8AtA HP 8GB ECC DDR3 1600 Mhz 90€
HDDs: 2xhttp://www.pixmania.it/hard-disk-interno-3-5/wd-hard-disk-interno-caviar-red-wd30efrx-3-5-3-tb/16730698-a.html 2x115€. More will be added in the future putside the 600€ budget.
MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157466 This would be a really good one but will send me out of budget 250€
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151086 50 €

Total now is 850€

What can i change/reduce to suit my needs?
It would be a downloading box, as well as a multimedia and backup storage, as well as a streaming unit.

Thank you.

Ditch the small size mobo and get a Supermicro. You are literally paying almost $100 more for the miniITX form factor.

Trade in the Reds for Green disks. There's a thread I posted to a few hours ago talking about how Greens aren't necesarily a bad choice for a NAS.

The caviar Green would make me save ~30€ in total which, which isn't bad :)
Also, i chose the Mini ITX because of the case, i don't there's enough space for an ATX.

The PSU in your list is not compatible with (will not fit) the case you selected. You need ATX power supply.

Thank you, i'm going to change it.
Also i'm pretty new to ZFS, what RAID setup would be the best for my purpose?

No, you'd have to get a case that fits the motherboard you choose.

Remember if you get the WD Greens you will need to use the wdidle tool to change the iltellipark setting. I recommend setting it to 300 seconds. If you forget to make this change you risk prematurely wearing out your disks.

With just 2 disks you are limited to vdevs that are striped(no redundancy) and mirrored(protection from single disk failures). The FreeNAS manual explains all of the different types, their advantages and disadvantages, and how many disks minimum you need for the various configurations.
