3 drives to 4 drives, how to improve redundancy, and best disk life

Hi guys,

I have a tank that uses 3 drives and want to add another drive for safety. I see that I can use Volume Manager to add a disk as a Spare or Stripe, but how can i get ZFS to do a n+2 redundancy so I can recover from a dual disk failure?

secondly, this server is meant mainly for archival storage and media storage. What are the best disk settings for standby to extend the life of the drives?

Destroy the pool and rebuild it as RAIDZ2. There's no way to add redundancy to a pool that's already created.
