I'm building my second FreeNAS server. (Aiming at a low power NAS that can run 24/7/365 without I feel it's using too much electricity. My old NAS uses >100 W in idle.)
Relevant to this thread is:

Due to some hardware replacements, I am planning to run Memtest86 on my existing freenas server (6TB data, 8gb RAM). So far the system has been running ok (though with non-ECC Ram, since my motherboard doesnt support it).
Before I run this test, I just wanted to be sure that running...
Uncle Fester's FreeNAS 9.10 Configuration Guide recommends using Breakin for processor validation and MemTest86+ for memory validation. But the web site for Breakin says it does a "full processor and memory test" (my emphasis), while MemTest86 has four CPU modes under which to run the memory...
